Today I want you to think about how many miracles have happened in your lifetime. That's such a small word...miracle, but it evokes a million thoughts and memories. We look back on things that happened that by all rights shouldn't have happened at all, and wouldn't have if it weren't for the blessings of God and his angels.
I have had a great many miracles in my lifetime, though I didn't realize at the time that they were miracles, I just thought it was luck, like so many of us do. I have come to find out that there is no such thing as good luck and bad luck, it all comes down to faith.
My husband suffered a heart attack three days before Easter, a heart attack that very well could have killed him and left me a widow, it didn't and he is home and doing much better. As I sat in the cath lab waiting room I began to think about what I would do should the unthinkable happen and I lose him and I began to pray.
Like an epiphany it came to my mind, everything will be fine.
It was a miracle that he survived, a miracle that was granted to me by God. Our talent as writers comes from God and I believe that as authors we should give thanks to Him.
Love and Peace,
A.M.

Happy Spring
Hello my friends:
Welcome to the beginning of Spring and many new journeys on this adventure we call writing. How many of my fellow authors hear the voices of their characters?
I am working on the 3rd chapter of my Y/A novel and I have a cacophony of voices in my head. At first when I heard them I figured I was going stark-raving mad, I mean it's not usually normal to hear invisible people, but then I remembered that an author friend of mine said that she heard voices in her head all the time, that it was normal for us as writers to hear voices and not to be alarmed as it was just my characters making themselves known. Making themselves known is an understatement, more like demanding that I acknowledge their presence. I have to admit though the first time it happened it was a bit disconcerting.
Now as I have gotten deeper into the story they are calming down a bit so I can at least hear myself think but I am always aware of them and if they are not happy about something in the story they are not shy about letting me know it.
I know this is really gonna sound insane but please don't call the funny farm. I have even begun to see my characters in my dreams, this phenomenon just started a couple of days ago, and here I am beginning to wonder if I have indeed flipped my proverbial lid. Not only am I hearing voices I am also seeing things, so my question is am I indeed crazy or is this part of being a writer?
That is an answer I would really like to know, so I figure who better to bring the question to then all of my fellow authors.
God's Blessings,
A.M. <3

Where to Begin
Hi everyone:
First of all I want to say thank you for all of your support. Second I hope that each and every one of you are doing well. I am sorry that I have been away for so long but I am working on a new Y/A novel called "The Fairy In Me".
I am done with Chapter One and am about 1,038 words into my second chapter. It seems to be flowing pretty well right now and I hope to have the chapter completed within the next few weeks.
The last information update I received on "The Emerald's Secret" was that there was a little more editing to be done. I am eager for the process to be over as I am ready to move forward with publication, but as the old saying goes "Patience is a virtue".
My search for a publisher is not going quite as well as I had hoped and I find myself beating my head up against a stone wall. It is unfair to those of us who are indie writers to be constantly snubbed by publishers because they think we aren't good enough to grace their publishing houses.
I know that is part of this journey I am on to become a published author. I also knew before I got into this career that it wasn't going to happen over night, but that still doesn't quell the frustration I feel every time I am turned down by another publisher.
I am thankful for the many new author friends that I have met so far on this journey and I want the ones that read and follow my blog to know I appreciate all of the support they have given me. I also have many non-author friends who have supported me as well and for them I also want to send my appreciation.
May God Bless and Keep You.

Such is Life
Good afternoon everyone. I am sorry it has been so long since I last posted. I hope everyone made it through Hurricane Sandy and that all your friends and family are safe.
As I sit here in front of my computer and type, I can see outside that God has blessed us with another beautiful fall day. It is peaceful and there is a soft breeze wafting through my open window.
This time of year always causes me to reflect back over the events of my life so far. Everything seems to be moving so fast that it makes me wonder where the time has gone. There have been many revelations, some good, some not so good, but all are what keep this circle of life we are part of going.
While I have been waiting patiently for my wonderful editor to get back on her feet, I have discovered that I love to write for children and young adults and that I actually have a knack for it. Call it my little journey to self-discovery as a writer. Because of this I have decided that I am going to work on either a children's manuscript or a young adult manuscript, not sure which yet, but the creative juices are flowing and ideas are beginning to make themselves known.
Do not despair though faithful followers, "The Emerald's Secret" will launch once my editor has decided that she is able to continue working on it. I hope to be able to post a launch date soon. In the meantime, follow your dreams...after all, who knows what you'll find at the end of your journey.
God Bless You as only He can,

Fall's Almost Here
I can't believe that it's almost fall already. As far as writing goes, things have kinda slowed down a little bit as I have had to trash one of the manuscripts I was working on because no matter how many times I read it and reread it I just don't like it. I guess it means back to the proverbial drawing board for me, at least on that manuscript anyway.
I have been in touch with my editor and am hoping that work on "The Emerald's Secret" will continue soon. She is recovering from her stroke, but the recovery is slow and I believe that she is getting very frustrated with the whole thing. If willpower was enough to heal someone she'd be back to 100% in no time, but unfortunately that's not how it works. Please pray that she will have a speedy and complete recovery.
I did find out that my debut novel "The Love Thief" is available at my hometown bookstore, which made me feel good.
Have a wonderful week and be safe out there.

Bad News, Good News
Hi guys and girls. Just thought I would let you know what is going on in the neverending world of indie writing. My book "The Emerald's Secret" is indefinitely shelved due to the fact that I have another story that is haunting me and will not let me rest. The name of the book is "Adaira's Triangle". It is going to be a sci-fi romance of epic proportions. It will have everything a reader wants: drama, true love, action, and of course as many hot and steamy love scenes as I can put into it without it becoming a fire hazard.
I will keep you updated on the progress as I go along. Right now I am still in the outline creation stage and am trying to flesh out my characters a little more. My characters have a way of sneaking into my mind when I'm not looking so I am sure they will continue to make themselves known.
After all being able to create unique characters and actually hearing and seeing them in your head is what being a writer is all about. It is also the one career where you can tell someone that you hear voices in your head and not be considered crazy.

I Just set up my new author page at Amazon.com
Hi Everyone
I just wanted to touch base with everyone. I am sorry that I have no report on the progress of "The Emerald's Secret" right now. My editor had a stroke and is currently out of commission. My prayers and love go out to her and her family as she recovers.
I have had a bit of bad luck myself, I got laid off from my job at Bojangles with a promise that as soon as business picks back up they will call me. Sad though it is at least it gives me more time to work on my second novel in my Gemstone Trilogy.
I have just created a new author page on Amazon.com, the link is http://www.amazon.com/Angela-M.-Evans/e/B008G7QA3A/ref=ntt_dp_epwbk_0. I also have the link for my first book "The Love Thief" so that you guys can buy it and let me know what you think. That link is http://www.amazon.com/The-Love-Thief-Angela-Evans/dp/1424184185/ref=la_B008G7QA3A_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1341026959&sr=1-1.
Since I'm not working right now I will be able to blog more often so stay tuned. I am also looking for suggestions for a good publisher that will not charge me anything to publish my manuscripts, so if anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it. I am also looking for information on how to get "The Love Thief" into e-book form that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. You can email me at amkellerromances@yahoo.com with your suggestions and I will get back with you as soon as I can.
I will talk to everyone later, have a wonderful and safe weekend.
